Infinite Realms 2022.1.3 patch

Today marks the release of the latest update for Infinite Realms, version 2022.1.3, which addresses a bug that emerged alongside the texture quality enhancements introduced in version 2022.1.2. This issue resulted in excessively dark screenshots on macOS, while causing significant color distortion on Windows. As a consequence, the bug led to the delay of yesterday’s planned Infinite Realms Beta 2023.0.0 release. To remedy this situation, we swiftly backported the patch for the stable 2022.1 line.

Don’t hesitate to upgrade to version 2022.1.3, now available on our Download page. Experience the improved texture quality without the drawbacks, and continue to enjoy the immersive world of Infinite Realms!

New 3D scenario - Red Desert

Scenario Manager
In Infinite Realms 2022.1.2 there is a new 3D scenario! It goes into the desert. So one more reason to update to the new version.

Red Desert features trading ways, sand dunes, a crossroads camp, canyons, an oasis and a desert village for your oriental adventures!

Also we’ve updated some of our old 3D maps. The Sinister Swamp map has updated textures and a new weather profile, while the Forest Creek map has an improved 3D view with an extended background, just like the Kóngulódalur map.

Infinite Realms 2022.1.2 has been released

We have just released the latest update for Infinite Realms, version 2022.1.2, which focuses on improving overall performance and fixing various bugs. The update includes changes to texture shaders and the Color Format, which will reduce banding artifacts. Additionally, a Fog of War issue in 3DView has been fixed, along with other minor improvements.

To coincide with the release of the new version, we have also updated our 3D maps catalog, which includes a brand new map called Red Desert, as well as upgrades to Forest Creek and Sinister Swamp maps. Please note that Infinite Realms 2022.1.2 or later will be required to access the updated map catalog!

Infinite Realms development beta 2023.0.0

The first development beta for Infinite Realms 2023.x.x is almost ready! It will be released shortly after 2022.1.2. The focus of the 2023.0.0 release is on quality of life features:

  • Add Scenario Manager window with new functionality. Sort, add and delete scenes & manage basic settings for all scenes in the scenario without the need to load the scene first. The old dropdown for quick scene switching is still available as a convenient alternative
  • Add a mandatory 2D image or video “Home Scene” with reduced functionality that doubles as an adventure landing page to every scenario. The Home Scene is used as the player loading screen and the “Lock Screen” in dual display mode
  • Add support for the imperial system and make it the default. The metric system can be re-enabled in the settings
  • Refactor previously laggy Sound Stage clip loading system
  • Sound Stage album dropdown now only shows albums available in the selected category
  • Sound Stage and Look Preset windows now save filters and search keywords for the session
  • Refactor scene loading system to be event based, remove screen cover tie-ins
  • Make loading sequence status more verbose
  • Complete rewrite of the screen cover system, replacing a messy setup with two separate systems for gm and players
  • Add “Quick Tip” texts to the gm loading screen
  • Include all bug fixes up to 2022.1.2
  • BugFix: A rotated 2D image is not resized to fit screen width at default scale
  • Minor fixes and improvements

There is also a new post in our Blog with some screenshots of 2023.0.0.
