Developing and bringing Infinite Realms to its current state, where we can confidently and joyfully go live, has been an exciting and long journey. Today, I want to give you a quick rundown of what we experienced on this journey.
It all started with a crazy idea, a dream of creating the perfect tool to enhance the role-playing experience at the table. But, as we soon found out, nothing like it existed on the market. So, we decided to create it ourselves! In the next months and years, we dealt with all sorts of things, learned new programming languages, researched how startups work, and looked for financing options.
A year ago, we took the leap on Kickstarter with our “minimum viable product“. It was an exciting time where we retrospectively made many mistakes. Nevertheless, we reached our financing goal and could now continue development with a financial cushion. Thanks to the early access users gained through Kickstarter, we were able to fix bugs and incorporate user wishes.
We are a small team that works on Infinite Realms in our spare time alongside our main job. Everyone takes care of the part they know best, but we all have grown as a team with the challenges. And have all learned a lot!
Our original release date was set for fall, but due to some technical difficulties with the user portal and some health issues, we’ve had to push it back. When we completed one task on the To Do list, two new ones appeared like the heads of a Hydra. But, we’re happy to say that the wait is finally over! On January 23rd, we finally released Infinite Realms to the world, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Some things are only functional or even missing entirely, but these are minor things that do not affect the operation of Infinite Realms. Therefore, we have decided to release now so that we can finally get started! After 4 years of working hard, learning a lot, and celebrating many successes but also experiencing some setbacks, we have now reached another major milestone! For our release we spent midnight in the video chat on Discord, went live, and toasted with a delicious Scotch! What a journey so far! And we promise you, we’re not done yet! We have many visions and ideas for what’s to come!
If you want to support us, download Infinite Realms for free and maybe sign up for a paid subscription. Otherwise, we always appreciate a mention on social media or a like or comment on our YouTube channel. This gives us reach and that’s better than any advertising!
As a thank you to our early adopters, we’re offering a special discount code for a limited time. Use the code LAUNCH23 at checkout to receive 25% off any subscription. We’re always working to improve and update the app, so if you have any feedback or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We’ve put our hearts and souls into this project, and we can’t wait for you to experience it! Thank you for your support, and happy gaming!
